It is just about that time of year again, what will be (for now) our last Fall Rocky Peak Sports Softball season (the league is moving to the Summer next year). With the success of our playoff tournament out in Simi Valley last year (after a series of rainouts at our normal field), we are looking to incorporate that as a regular feature (and potentially for special events as well). There’s still a bit of time before the league starts (Sept 16th), so if you haven’t signed up yet and want to play, do so.
In other softball news, the Dodger Blog Tournament I played in is having a Fall edition (to complement the Spring one I played in) at the end of September, and I’ve already signed up to play for my old team. We’ll see how many people come back (we’re already not going to have our coach back), and see what the make up of the team is. It was a lot of fun last time, although getting out there may be a challenge (it’s the same weekend as Carmaggedon II).
All this reminds me, I have to get out to a batting cage soon and knock the rust off. Probably next week after I finish up with the next Karate test on Saturday. I will, of course, keep you all updated.
