Feeling a little blah today, but I have some pics on my phone I’ve been wanting to share with you anyway.
Here’s Gatsby’s take on the “Most Interesting Cat in the World” pose. I sub-titled it, “I don’t always throw up, but when I do, I do it right before you are hosting your Bible Study.” Gatsby is more commonly in what we call the “dainty kitty” pose, where he has both front paws out in front of him and crossed at what would be the wrist on us human-folk.
Jess called me in the office the other day to show me this. If you can’t tell from the size (you should be able to see it if you enlarge it), it’s a baby praying mantis. Neither of us had seen one before, and, after I failed several times, Jess was able to get a good picture of it. It was perfectly happy chilling on our screen, and has since wandered off to do whatever it is mantises do.
And this is dinner tonight (well, not this one, this one was lunch on Monday). There’s a cool new place that just opened up right off campus called PizzaRev. It’s like the Chipotle/Subway of pizza, where you choose your sauce, cheese, and toppings and then they cook it for you in a 500+ degree oven in a few minutes. It’s a great idea and tastes pretty darn good too. It has yet to become over-crowded and busy, so get down there if you want to get in on the ground floor.
